The church has contracted with Masons Architects Inc. and Tanimura and Associates, [structural engineers], to develop possible ways we can rebuild the church.
They are presently in the process of working on said plans. It is our hope that we will have their suggestions by the end of the year. At that point the congregation will make a crucial decision as to what alternative to go with.
We have set February 3rd as the kick-off Sunday for our fund drive.
The estimated cost of rebuilding has been set by the architect at two million dollars. We are not yet sure how much insurance money we will receive but it could be as low as $800,00. This would mean the church has to raise $1,200,000,00.
This past week numerous TV stations and newspapters here in Hawaii have been doing follow-up stories on our church.
And this past Sunday, October 14th, we had a special service, to remember what happened a year ago today to the church sanctuary
